L200 phantom pleco

• Scientific name: Hemiancistrus subviridis (standard L200)
• Origin: Orinoco River basin, Venezuela
• Adult size: around 15–20 cm
• Appearance: green/olive body with small yellow-gold spots
• Temperature: 26–30°C
• pH: around 6.0–7.5
• Tank: ideally 200 L+ with strong filtration/oxygenation and plenty of caves/rocks
• Diet: omnivorous grazer — sinking wafers, vegetables, biofilm, plus occasional protein
• Temperament: generally peaceful, but can be territorial with other plecos
• Activity: mostly more active around evening/night.

Important: “L200” can also refer to the L200 Hi-Fin, Baryancistrus demantoides. The Hi-Fin has a noticeably larger dorsal fin and is a different species.
