Pineapple Swordtail

Pineapple Swordtail – Xiphophorus hellerii

Pineapple Swordtail is a striking and popular variant of Xiphophorus hellerii, admired for its warm yellow to orange coloration with subtle darker accents, resembling the tones of a ripe pineapple. This unique blend of colors gives it a bright yet natural look that stands out beautifully in planted aquariums and community tanks.

Like all swordtails, males feature the iconic sword-like extension on the lower tail fin, adding elegance and movement to their appearance. Females are larger, rounder, and lack the sword but still display attractive coloration.

Native to Central America, swordtails are known for their hardiness, adaptability, and active behavior, making them an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists. Their constant movement and vibrant colors bring life and energy to any aquarium setup.
