Red White Swordtail

Red White Swordtail – Xiphophorus hellerii

Red White Swordtail is a beautiful color variant of Xiphophorus hellerii, known for its eye-catching contrast of bright red and clean white patterns. This combination creates a bold and elegant appearance that stands out in both planted aquariums and community tanks.

Like other swordtails, males develop a distinct sword-like extension on the lower tail fin, adding a dynamic and stylish look. Females are typically larger and lack the sword extension but still display attractive coloration.

Native to Central America, swordtails are well-loved for their hardiness, adaptability, and active swimming behavior. Red White Swordtails are constantly on the move, bringing energy and color to the aquarium.

As a livebearer, this species gives birth to free-swimming fry, making it an exciting option for hobbyists interested in breeding.
