HM Betta Splendens #HM34

Give your aquarium a striking centerpiece with the Half-moon Betta splendens. Its caudal fin spreads into a dramatic 180-degree fan, while balanced fins create a distinctively symmetrical silhouette.

Set it among leafy plants with a sheltered retreat to create a planted display you can enjoy at home. Its pigment stays stable under typical indoor lighting, so its high-contrast shape remains easy to appreciate.

• Room to swim: Use an aquarium of at least 5 gallons, with water kept between 76–82°F (24–28°C).
• Freshwater care: Provide conditioned freshwater at pH 6.5–7.5 and change 25% of the water each week.
• Gentle filtration: Choose a sponge or hang-on-back filter on low flow to help prevent fin compression.
• Sheltered layout: Add soft substrate, dense live or artificial plants, and a curved ceramic or PVC retreat in a back corner.
• Daily feeding: Offer premium pellets or flakes twice daily, with frozen brine shrimp once a week.
• Steady placement: Keep the aquarium away from direct airflow to maintain temperature swings below one degree per hour.

Arrange the plants around the retreat for a leafy view, then settle in and watch your betta swim during a quiet moment at home.
