HM Betta Splendens #HM31

Bring a distinctive focal point to your aquarium with a Half-moon Betta splendens. Its caudal fin opens into a dramatic 180-degree fan, and balanced fins give it a strikingly symmetrical silhouette.

Frame its high-contrast shape with leafy plants and a sheltered retreat for a calm, planted display. Its pigment stays stable under typical indoor lighting, making it easy to enjoy in your home.

• Room to swim: Provide an aquarium of at least 5 gallons, with water kept at 76–82°F (24–28°C).
• Freshwater care: Use conditioned freshwater at pH 6.5–7.5 and change 25% of the water each week.
• Gentle filtration: Choose a sponge or hang-on-back filter on low flow to help prevent fin compression.
• Sheltered layout: Add soft substrate, dense live or artificial plants, and a curved ceramic or PVC retreat in a back corner.
• Daily feeding: Offer premium pellets or flakes twice daily, with frozen brine shrimp once a week.
• Steady placement: Keep the aquarium away from direct airflow to maintain temperature swings below one degree per hour.

Arrange the plants around the retreat to create a leafy view, then enjoy watching your betta swim during a quiet moment at home.
