HM Betta Splendens #HM05

Bring a striking focal point to your aquarium with a Half-moon Betta splendens. Its caudal fin opens into a dramatic 180-degree fan, while its balanced silhouette shows off the symmetry of its fins. Stable pigment under typical indoor lighting keeps its shape easy to enjoy during everyday viewing.

Frame its high-contrast outline with leafy greenery, then add a curved retreat in a back corner. The planted, sheltered layout gives you a peaceful scene to enjoy at home.

• Room to swim: Provide an aquarium of at least 5 gallons, with water kept at 76–82°F (24–28°C).
• Freshwater care: Use conditioned freshwater at pH 6.5–7.5 and change 25% of the water weekly.
• Gentle filtration: Choose a sponge or hang-on-back filter on low flow to help prevent fin compression.
• Sheltered layout: Add soft substrate, dense live or artificial plants, and a curved ceramic or PVC retreat in a back corner.
• Daily feeding: Offer premium pellets or flakes twice daily, with frozen brine shrimp once a week.
• Steady placement: Keep the aquarium away from direct airflow to maintain temperature swings below one degree per hour.

Set the aquarium where you can pause and watch its fan-shaped tail among the plants during a quiet moment at home.
