Livestock 

Owning the right livestock is the basis of your fishkeeping experience. With our wide array of choices, you’ll have the freedom to choose different species, colours and sizes of fish. Here are some of our most popular livestock: 

• Goldfish: A popular choice for beginners and seasoned fishkeepers alike. Goldfish are sturdy creatures that come in a variety of colours and sizes. They can thrive in both small aquariums and larger ponds.

When given the right environment and care, goldfish can live up to a decade or more! 

• Tetra: Tetras are some of our most popular livestock. They are beloved for their colours, size and peaceful nature. In fact, they are considered to be one of the most passive aquarium animals in the market! 

We have a wide range of tetra species to choose from, catering to different tank setups. 

• Pencilfish: Pencilfish are exactly what they sound like; long, skinny fish that look like floating pencils. Our pencilfish can spruce up your aquarium by adding a touch of uniqueness. 

They’re also hardy creatures as they can tolerate a wide variety of water chemistry. 

• Bettas: Betta fish or fighting fish, are athletic creatures that come in many shapes and colours. They can easily be spotted due to their swashbuckling tails. They’re also highly territorial which makes them best suited for solitary tanks. 

As highly intelligent creatures, bettas have the ability to recognise their owners. 

• Koi: Koi and goldfish share many similarities. Nonetheless, koi fish are larger, more robust creatures. They’re considered as symbols of luck and prosperity in many cultures. 

Their elegant swimming patterns and striking colours will also be a great addition to your aquarium.  

• Shrimp: Shrimps play an important role in aquarium tanks. They operate as cleaners, ensuring both your tank and fish are algae free. They also scavenge for leftover food and debris, keeping your tank well maintained. 

Shrimps are one of our most popular livestock and we have over 100 different species! Remember to choose the right one for your tank. 

• Turtle: Turtles are an excellent alternative to fish. They’re also way more versatile as they can live in both water and on land. We have a variety of red ear sliders, turtle tanks and fish food for you to choose from. 

On that note, mixing turtles with other aquatic animals is not recommended. Turtles can be territorial and may prey on smaller fish or other inhabitants.

Plants 

From background plants to foreground plants, your aquarium will not be complete without the right vegetation. Aquatic plants are like furniture - they create a livelier environment in your tank.  

They also enhance water quality, preventing algae growth while producing oxygen. These plants can be categorised as: 

• Background Plants: Background plants fill the back section of your tank. They cover equipment like filters and heaters, creating a natural environment. They also provide shelter for your fish. 

Background plants are fast growing vegetation so regular pruning is required. 

• Foreground Plants: Foreground plants occupy the front section of your aquarium. These plants are usually shorter and denser, forming clusters or carpets similar to underwater landscapes. 

Foreground plants create depth and contrast in your aquarium, making your tank more vibrant.

• Midground Plants: Midground plants are the bridge between the background and foreground plants. They fill the middle section of your aquarium, usually consisting of moses and epiphytes. 

• Floating Plants: Floating plants are unique vegetation that don’t need to be rooted. They float freely on the water's surface, providing shade, reducing light intensity and absorbing excess nutrients. 

These plants usually come in the form of duckweeds and lilies. 

Tanks 

The tank is the home where your aquatic pets and plants will thrive. Before choosing your tank, you must first determine the right setup. Are you looking for a glass tank where you can showcase your fish?
