HM Betta Splendens #HM04

Bring a bold, fan-shaped silhouette to your aquarium with a Half-moon Betta splendens. Its caudal fin spreads into a dramatic 180-degree fan, while the balanced shape lets you appreciate the symmetry of its fins.

Set the tank against leafy greenery to make the betta’s high-contrast outline stand out. Its pigment stays stable under typical indoor lighting, making it easy to enjoy during everyday viewing.

• Room to swim: Provide an aquarium of at least 5 gallons and keep the water between 76–82°F (24–28°C).
• Freshwater care: Use conditioned freshwater at pH 6.5–7.5 and change 25% of the water weekly.
• Gentle filtration: Choose a sponge or hang-on-back filter on low flow to help prevent fin compression.
• Sheltered layout: Add soft substrate, dense live or artificial plants, and a curved ceramic or PVC retreat in a back corner.
• Daily feeding: Offer premium pellets or flakes twice daily, with frozen brine shrimp once a week.
• Steady placement: Keep the aquarium away from direct airflow to maintain temperature swings below one degree per hour.

Arrange the plants and retreat to create a sheltered corner, then enjoy watching your betta among the greenery during a quiet moment at home.
