Cuban Cichlid (Nandopsis Tetracanthus)

Nandopsis tetracanthus, often referred to as the Cuban Cichlid, is a medium-to-large robust cichlid with a laterally compressed body. Adults display an olive-brown to gray base color with darker blotches along the body. Under good lighting, they may show subtle iridescent blue, green, or turquoise specks, particularly on the head and gill covers.

Males are larger and more vividly colored than females, with a more pronounced body shape and longer fins. Adult size can reach 25–30 cm, making them a substantial addition to a large aquarium.
