Mpanga Cichlid (Pseudotropheus Elongatus Mphanga)

Pseudotropheus elongatus “Mphanga” is a striking mbuna cichlid from the rocky habitats of Lake Malawi, admired for its intense coloration and dynamic personality. Mature males display a deep electric blue body with bold black vertical bars, creating a powerful and eye-catching contrast that commands attention in any aquarium.

This species is known for its high energy and territorial nature, typical of the elongatus group. The Mphanga thrives in rock-rich aquascapes with plenty of caves and hiding spots to establish territories. Despite its assertive behavior, it coexists well with other mbuna of similar temperament when properly managed.
