Looking for a new fish tank? This category covers glass aquariums sold on their own and as a set akuarium, a bundle that may include a filter, light, lid and sometimes a stand. A set takes a lot of the guesswork out of a first setup, while a bare tank lets experienced keepers pick every piece of equipment themselves.
FishyHub lists nano tanks, the ever-popular akuarium 2 kaki and 3-foot tanks, larger 4-foot to 6-foot tanks and rimless aquascaping tanks from Malaysian aquarium shops and tank builders, with prices in RM.
Desktop tanks of roughly 5–15 litres. They are ideal for a single betta (ikan laga), a few cherry shrimp or a small aquascape. Small volumes heat up and foul quickly, so they suit people who enjoy frequent, small water changes.
The classic starter size in Malaysia, at around 55–65 L. A 2-foot tank holds a small school of tetras or rasboras, a few corydoras, a pair of dwarf gourami or a planted layout. It fits on a cabinet in most homes and is still light enough to manage.
At around 155–180 L, a 3-foot tank opens up much more: a group of fancy goldfish (ikan emas such as oranda), angelfish (ikan manfish), bigger community groups or a proper aquascape. Water stays more stable, but you will need a stronger filter and a proper stand.
Around 230–270 L, popular for cichlid communities, discus groups and large planted displays. At this size the stand, floor, filter and water-change routine all need planning.
Big display tanks for arowana, large catfish and other big fish. A 6-foot tank holds about 550–650 L. Many are made to order, so lead times, delivery and installation vary by builder.

| 3 kaki | 90 × 45 × 45 cm | about 155–180 L | Goldfish, angelfish, aquascape | Yes |

There is no standard. One seller's "complete set" might include a cabinet, top filter and LED, while another's is just a tank and lid. Common items include:
Even with a set, you will usually still need anti klorin, substrate, food and, ideally, a test kit. Read the listing carefully, and ask the seller if anything is unclear.
The most common and affordable option. It resists scratches and suits most tanks. Thick standard glass can look slightly green from the side.
Clearer glass without the green tint, popular for aquascapes and premium displays. It usually costs more.
Clean edges with no top or bottom frame. They are favoured for modern aquascapes and pair well with hanging or clip-on lights.
Lighter and available in curved shapes, but they scratch more easily. They are less common, and mostly found in small novelty tanks or very large custom builds.
Compare exact dimensions, glass type and thickness, set contents, and whether the photo shows the real item. Check the seller's location and whether they offer delivery, self-collect or installation, and ask how breakage in transit is handled. For East Malaysia, ask before ordering large glass tanks, because shipping options are more limited than for smaller items.
Bergantung pada jenis dan saiz ikan dewasa. Akuarium 3 kaki (sekitar 155 hingga 180 liter) boleh muat sekumpulan besar ikan tetra kecil, tetapi hanya beberapa ekor ikan emas (goldfish) kerana ikan emas besar dan banyak kotoran.
Lain penjual, lain isinya. Ada yang termasuk penapis, lampu dan kabinet, ada yang hanya tangki dan penutup. Sentiasa baca senarai barang dalam listing sebelum beli.
Yes. It holds enough water to stay reasonably stable, fits most homes, and suits a wide range of beginner fish and plants.
Usually a few weeks, until the filter has built up beneficial bacteria. Test for ammonia and nitrite; when both read zero, start with a few hardy fish.
It is recommended. Many fish jump, including bettas, arowana and some rasboras, and a lid reduces evaporation. In a hot room, a mesh lid or a gap with a fan can help keep the water cooler.
