Size:

Adult Length: Spiny Eels can grow up to 18-20 inches (45-50 cm) in length.

Tank Mates:

Compatibility: Spiny Eels are generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially during breeding. Compatible tank mates include peaceful community fish.

Avoidance: Keep them away from aggressive or nippy species to prevent stress and potential injuries.

Solitary Nature: Spiny Eels are solitary creatures, and it's advisable to keep them individually or in a species-only setup.

Feeding Habit:

Diet: These eels are carnivores and enjoy a diet of live or frozen foods. Offer a variety, including bloodworms, brine shrimp, and small fish.

Care:

Substrate: Provide a soft substrate like sand to accommodate their burrowing behavior.
