The Terra Terrarium with LED Light offers a stunning and naturalistic aquarium experience. Perfect for fish and aquatic plants, it combines beauty and functionality.
Product Features:
LED Light for Optimal Viewing & Growth: The built-in LED light illuminates your terrarium beautifully, enhancing the colors of your aquatic plants and creating a serene, ambient glow for your fish to thrive.
Elegant, Transparent Design: Crafted with high-quality glass, the terrarium provides an unobstructed, clear view of your aquatic ecosystem. The design is sleek and modern, fitting perfectly in any home or office decor.
Multi-Functional: Not just an aquarium, the Terra Terrarium is designed for both aquatic and semi-aquatic environments, providing ample space for fish, amphibians, and plants to live in harmony.
Perfect Size for Various Species: Available in multiple sizes, the Terra Terrarium is ideal for small to medium-sized aquatic species, and the LED light ensures a bright environment for plant growth and fish health.
Environmentally Friendly & Energy-Efficient: The LED lights are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, providing long-lasting illumination while keeping power consumption low.
Easy to Maintain: The design is simple and accessible, making it easy to clean and care for. The tank's filtration system (if included) ensures optimal water quality for your aquatic life, reducing maintenance needs.
Tank Conditions:
Water Temperature: The Terra Terrarium supports a wide range of water temperatures, making it versatile for many species of fish. For tropical fish, maintain the water temperature between 75°F and 80°F (24°C - 27°C). For cold-water species, water should stay between 50°F and 65°F (10°C - 18°C).
Water pH & Hardness: The ideal pH for most fish species in the Terra Terrarium ranges from 6.5 to 7.5, though this can vary based on the specific fish species. It’s best to maintain moderate water hardness (GH) between 4-12 dGH.
Water Filtration: If the terrarium includes a filtration system, make sure it runs continuously to keep the water clear and reduce the need for frequent water changes. Regular water changes of 20% to 30% per week are recommended to maintain a healthy aquatic environment.
Water Chemistry: For healthier fish and plants, monitor ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels. Keep ammonia and nitrites as close to zero as possible, while nitrates should not exceed 20 ppm.
Tank Mates:
Ideal Species: The Terra Terrarium is perfect for small, peaceful freshwater fish, including Betta fish, tetras, guppies, goldfish, or shrimp. If your tank includes amphibians, frogs or small aquatic reptiles like newts and turtles can also be added.
Avoid Aggressive Species: Avoid housing aggressive fish, such as cichlids or larger predatory fish, as the smaller size of the terrarium limits their movement and space. Always research species before introducing them to ensure compatibility.
Shrimp and Snails: These can be wonderful additions to your terrarium, as they help maintain water quality by eating algae and leftover food. Popular options include freshwater shrimp like cherry shrimp and snails like mystery snails.
Feeding Habits:
Fish: Feed your fish 2-3 times per week, with a variety of high-quality fish flakes, pellets, or frozen food like bloodworms. Ensure that food is consumed within 2-3 minutes to avoid overfeeding and water contamination.
Amphibians and Reptiles: If your terrarium houses amphibians or reptiles, feed them a diet of live food, such as worms, insects, or small crustaceans, depending on their species. Be sure to provide fresh, appropriate food for their specific dietary needs.
Plants: If you're including plants, provide them with the nutrients they need to thrive. You may need to add liquid plant fertilizers or supplements, depending on the plant species in your terrarium.
Care & Maintenance:
Cleaning: Clean the glass regularly to prevent algae build-up and to maintain a clear view of your ecosystem. Use a soft cloth or aquarium-safe cleaning tool to avoid scratching the glass. A light algae scraper can also help maintain the tank's interior.
Water Changes: Change 20-30% of the water each week to maintain water quality. Use a siphon to remove debris from the substrate, and refill with dechlorinated water that matches the current water temperature.
Monitoring Water Quality: Regularly check the water parameters using an aquarium test kit. Testing for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH ensures that your ecosystem remains balanced and healthy.
Lighting: The LED light should be turned on for around 10-12 hours a day, mimicking the natural daylight cycle for your fish and plants. Avoid excessive lighting, as it can lead to algae growth.
Fish Health: Observe your fish and other aquatic life regularly for signs of stress, disease, or unusual behavior. Promptly address any issues with water quality, feeding habits, or tank environment to maintain a thriving ecosystem.
