Main food for all algae- and herbivorous catfish, especially armored catfish such as Ancistrus, Peckoltia, Glyptoperichthys, Baryancistrus and Hypancistrus. With natural leaves (9%, for a fiber content like in nature and as a high-quality source of lignin), vitamin-rich vegetables and algae (16%), crustaceans and insect larvae. The approx. 12 mm large pieces are grated off by the catfish, which corresponds to their feeding just like in nature.
