Aquael NitroMax is specialized resin that filters nitrite and nitrate from the aquarium. This resin is so developed that ion exchange can take place. This exchange ensures that the bond between the resin and nitrite / nitrate can take placeproperly.

Nitrite is a toxic substance that is extremely harmful to aquarium animals.

Excess nitrate allows for the formation of algae in the aquarium. An too high concentration of nitrates also causes the aquarium animals to become more vulnerable for diseases.

The resin must be replaced every 4 weeks.
