Plenty of Malaysians first fall for saltwater fish while snorkelling off Tioman, Redang or Sipadan. A home marine tank, or akuarium air masin, brings some of that colour indoors. Marine tanks are more involved than freshwater: you mix salt water, test more often and, in our climate, fight heat almost all year. A starter pack will not remove that work, but it gives you a sensible base. Packs are listed by Malaysian sellers with prices in RM.
Contents vary, so check each listing. Many marine packs do not include a chiller, which matters a lot in Malaysia.
Fish with live rock, no corals. Lighting is simpler and water chemistry is more forgiving, so it is the easier starting point. Hardy beginner fish include clownfish (ikan badut), some damsels and gobies.
Corals plus compatible fish and invertebrates. Reef tanks need stronger lighting, steady flow and tighter control of temperature, salinity and nutrients. Start with hardy soft corals before trying more demanding ones.
Small saltwater tanks fit a condo shelf, but small volumes overheat and change salinity fast through evaporation. They suit careful keepers more than complete beginners.

Compare tank size, whether a chiller, skimmer and RO unit are included, the type of rock supplied, and lighting suitability for corals. Check whether photos show the actual pack. Marine livestock is delicate to ship, so ask the seller about delivery or self-collect and live-arrival terms, particularly for Sabah and Sarawak.
Untuk tangki reef di Malaysia, chiller hampir wajib kerana suhu bilik selalu 26–31°C dan karang lebih suka sekitar 25–27°C. Tangki ikan sahaja boleh guna kipas akuarium, tetapi suhu perlu dipantau setiap hari.

It can be, if you start fish-only, choose a tank of about 2 feet or more, and are prepared to test water regularly. Freshwater is still the easier first tank.
Captive-bred clownfish are a popular first choice. Ask the seller which other hardy species suit your tank size.
