Dive into the details below to learn more about their water conditions, ideal tank mates, feeding habits, and care requirements.

Water Conditions:

✦Temperature: Rasbora espei thrive in tropical waters with a temperature range of 73-82°F (23-28°C).

✦pH Level: Maintain a slightly acidic to neutral pH level between 6.0 and 7.5 for optimal health.

✦Water Hardness: Aim for a moderate water hardness level ranging from 5 to 12 dGH.

✦Aquarium Size: To provide ample swimming space, a tank with a minimum capacity of 20 gallons is recommended for a small group of Rasbora espei.

Tank Mates:

✦Rasbora espei are peaceful community fish that enjoy the company of other small, non-aggressive species.

✦Ideal tank mates include other Rasbora species, Tetras, Guppies, Corydoras catfish, and peaceful dwarf shrimp.

✦Avoid keeping them with larger, aggressive fish that may intimidate or harm them.

Feeding Habits:

✦Rasbora espei are omnivorous and have a hearty appetite. They readily accept various types of food.

✦Their diet should consist of high-quality flake or pellet food specifically designed for tropical fish.

✦Supplement their diet with frozen or live foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, or bloodworms to provide essential nutrients.

Care:

✦Provide a well-maintained aquarium with regular water changes and filtration to ensure optimal water quality.

✦Create a natural environment by incorporating plants, driftwood, and rocks, which also serve as hiding places for the fish.

✦Maintain a consistent lighting schedule, mimicking their natural habitat, with 8-10 hours of light per day.

Regularly monitor water parameters using test kits to ✦ensure they remain within the recommended range.

✦Perform regular tank maintenance, including cleaning the substrate and removing any uneaten food or debris.
