Key Characteristics

• Appearance & Pattern: Features a clean pearl-white or cream body covered in a fine, interconnecting grid or honeycomb matrix of deep red to vermilion lines. This creates the signature "checkerboard" or reticulated appearance across the flanks.

• Eyes & Fins: High-quality specimens display bright ruby-red eyes, vibrant yellow or orange accents around the face, and iridescent turquoise or blue edging along the dorsal and anal fins.

• Peppering: Derived from the Pigeon Blood strain, lower-grade specimens may show dark black specks ("peppering"), though selective breeding aims for a clean, pepper-free body.
