Metriaclima melissa chewere, also known as Elongatus Chewere, is a species of Mbuna cichlid found in Lake Malawi. Males are known for their vibrant coloration, often displaying blue or yellow stripes on a dark base with yellow fins and a black border. Females are typically a gray-brown color with stripes, and are slightly smaller than males. They are active and can be aggressive, especially towards other fish of the same species.
