It is developed from stabilized microbial sewage treatment technology (W-BAF) and is highly effective in removing Ammonia-Nitrogen (NH4-N) and Nitrate-Nitrogen (NO3-N) from water.

Bio-Block supports the growth of different species of bacteria and fungi, such as nitrifying bacteria (including species of the genera Nitrosomonas, Nitrosococcus, Nitrobacter and Nitrococcus), yeast, phototrophic prokaryotes, etc.
